Meet Your Therapist
Jamila Gonzalez LMT, CCST
After 14 years of working with the body, I’ve learned that sometimes what we need most isn’t more - it’s the space to slow down.
That understanding became the heart of Release Bodywork.
Over the years, my work has evolved beyond simply asking, “Where does it hurt?”
I want to know how you’ve been feeling in your body. Where you’ve been holding tension. What feels heavy. What needs attention. And just as importantly, how you want to feel when you leave.
My approach is intentional. I pay attention to the little things: how your body responds to pressure, where it begins to soften, when your breathing changes, when deeper work is needed, and when it’s time to simply be still.
It isn’t about how many techniques I can fit into your time.
It’s about creating the right experience for your body in that moment.
It’s creating an environment where you don’t have to be “on.”
You don’t have to make conversation or rush. You don’t have to know exactly what kind of massage you need or choose from a long list of techniques.
You can simply arrive as you are.
From there, I bring together years of hands-on experience, therapeutic bodywork, lymphatic techniques, nervous-system-focused care, warmth, movement, stillness, and sensory elements to create something that feels personal to you.
Some days, your body may need focused therapeutic work.
Other days, it may need slow, rhythmic touch and warmth.
And sometimes, what you need most is two hours where nobody needs anything from you.
There is room for all of that here.
Where you come to be cared for, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.
